IABC ESIG "The New Social Networking and Why It Should Matter to You!" Recap

JELLY!
Jelly
Jelly is a casual work event where everyone's invited. It's for anyone who'd like to work alongside other creative people in a welcome environment. Some Jellies are in people's homes, which is how it got started, others are in Starbucks, businesses. Just bring your laptop and some work. Jelly provides wifi, chair and collaborative people.

Go Web 2.0
Go2Web20.net is directory of web 2.0 applications and services that was started in Summer of 2006. As of today, it has 2485 logos. As a visitor, you are probably active in the web 2.0 community and you are one of those labeled as 'early adopters'. Thousands of visitors every day. It converges both Flash and AJAX technologies.

Revver
Yeah, you can earn money by making an awesome video and putting it on Revver. But did you know you can also earn just by sharing other people’s videos? Just find a few of your faves and you can send them to friends, embed them in your blog or website, or even make your very own podcast with them -- and earn for sharing!

But wait, there’s more! Because it’s so easy to earn money by sharing videos, other Revver members will be knocking down your door trying to share your videos with the world. Every time they earn money for sharing your video, you earn money for creating it!

The presenters included Pam McConathy of Foresight Communuication Group, Christy Lee of Story teller Communications and Alan Deeter of Spur Digital.
